I'm just happy that the majority of people in that thread immediately called it for being the bullshit that it is.

At some point, I think EVERYONE has to make adjustments based on results. How soon you need to do that depends on your starting point. When I was 400lbs, ANY change I made showed good results. Now that I'm a lot lighter AND trying to accomplish other fitness goals (powerlifting) there is a lot more trial and error to ensure I don't sabotage my other goals in exchange for weightloss.

I think something similar to this should cover all posts

Have you read our FAQ? It does cover all posts. Id rather have no guidelines at all and assume all posters aren't lazy bastards who just want spoon fed answers rather than putting in a tiny bit of effort to find out info on their own, but that doesn't work. So when an issue becomes problematic (in the eyes of the mods) we set policies to change them.

I don't feel like the example provided of a poor quality post was really that bad at all

Bad? No. But it didn't provide anything that hasn't been discussed before. We don't want "not bad" we want "good". Do you think it was a really good post? Would you link to it if someone asked you about smolov Jr? I wouldn't.

but I think this post, as is, will ultimately drive more quality posts and posters away, than it will bring in.

People have said that to us from the start, that our modding tactics were too heavy handed and it would kill the sub. Turns out, all of them were wrong. There are a lot of people who want exactly what we want, and that is the group we cater to. If others want a different environment, then another sub can be created for them. We arent concerned with making everyone happy, we just want good quality.

What makes elite athletes so special? by LankosaurousRexin weightroom

"Drive" is a mindset. You can see that pretty early on. When I played football in high school, there were a few "types" of players. The ones who came out just to put on a uniform. These guys were "injured" regularly, never really gave 100% effort, most ended up on the sidelines and just enjoyed being part of the team.

You had the natural average guys (like me). We tried most of the time, we did alright, but really never met our potential for various reasons.

You had hard workers, who were average player who just busted their ass. They were the majority of the starting line up. They worked hard, and got results.

You had the gifted player who usually were starters without putting in a ton of extra work, they pushed pretty hard during practice, etc.

Then you had the select few. The ones that were both gifted player and workhorses. They would be on the filed warming up 45 minutes before practice, on the field running hill sprints after practice or in the weight room. They went hard 99% of the time, they trained in the off season, etc.

Every one of those "few" that I ever knew went on to play college ball if they wanted to (some just stopped after highschool as they lost interest in the game), a handful were multi sport athletes (baseball, basketball and football was a common mix) but also football and track.

I remember going "they are only that good because they are naturals" and that was bullshit when I think back. They were good because when I walked off the field when the whistle blew, they walked over to grab some water then back out to do more drills. It only took me years to realize this because I was an idiot, not because the signs weren't there.

You can tell pretty quickly how far someone can go based on how hard they push and for how long. The guys who frequently walk off the field (or out of the gym) because they are sore and tired aren't the ones who are going to be setting records. The ones who make excuses about why others are better than the aren't the ones who are going to be setting records.

The author is someone who is trying to make excuses for being fat. The calories in v out statement is true, but most people over simplify it and suck at both gauging how much they eat and how much they expend.

If you consume fewer calories than you expend, you will lose weight. that is a fact. Getting that "maintenance" number is not as easy as plugging your weight into an online calculator, sometimes it takes some trial and error.

I do my deadlift workout (working up to doubles or triples around 450 or so) then do rack pulls with about 500or so, then shrug the shit out of 500+ I raise the weight and lower the ROM. Works like a champ.

I'm leaving for college in 3 months and I wanted to lose some fat and gain some muscle mass before I leave. What's the best way to go about this? by lockerdudein Fitness

I'm ready to start lifting, SL or SS and can/should I mix in cardio? by shupackin Fitness

Buy the SS book. Do SS.

You can keep running.

Edit: thanks for the downvotes, how about some criticism instead? If I failed on etiquette, let me know.

Quit bitching about downvotes.

Ive toyed around with them some, but nothing serious. Is there a difference other than it changing the ROM (more like a deficit DL)?

Stopped by my local B&M tonight to pick up some...supplies for the long weekend. Some friends and I are going camping and it is going to be the first break I have had from work in a while, so I am looking forward to it.

Picked up another Acid, a Natural, an Undercrown, a NUB, a Viaje FOAB, and a couple others for friends. They had a boat load of Liga Privada 9s and t52s but they just weren't in the budget this week. Soon they will be mine.

While there I also got some AMAZING news. My local B&M is opening a lounge! To put this in perspective, there are no other lounges that I am aware of in my city. They gave me a sneak peak and I AM EXCITED. They said it should be opening in the next couple of weeks and I promised that if nothing else, they would have at least one customer there! Words don't explain how excited I am for this.

Blindly believe? Nope, not at all. Take into consideration, sure. But that is my point, if 500 people said the exact same thing, it means less than 10 who said something different and actually talked about what they experienced. Those unique experiences is what allows you to decide if the program is for you, not the "yea it works" because you can't relate to someone who said nothing of detail.

Hey Bro,

Can you link me to the contest where they judge form? I only found these lame ass bro-tastic sites where what mattered was how big you were and how much you lifted.
