Not really Cartman IRL. He didn't make that woman eat her parents.

I was really proud of my Simpsons action figure collection until I saw yours. Made mine look like a pile of puke. Do you have a favorite figure/thing to collect?

Seriously, how did you all make friends when you got here? by queenannechickin Seattle

I recommend volunteering. I don't have much experience with the activities you listed but I have volunteered at events that sounded interesting to me, like Comic-Con and PAX, and being thrown into an environment where you have to work in small groups helped those personal walls come down and before I knew it I had three new friends. There are also after parties you get invited to so if you were too busy during your shift to chit chat you can always strike up the conversation with your teammates at that time. I actually wouldn't recommend meeting people at classes. I feel like once the class is over no one wants to hang out and they all go their separate ways.

Sorry to hear you got ripped off. That's my closest grocery store and I've never had a problem with that area. I have had a problem with phone snatchers around Cal Andersen though but the guy approaching said something about my phone and that gave me enough time to sit up real quick and put it away. If he wouldn't have said anything though I'd have been ripped off easily. Thanks for the warning and I'm glad to hear that at least you're safe.

Just wanted to say congratulations and get well soon. I had the operation 12 years ago and things have only become better since. I think you'll be really happy with the way things turn out from now on. Again, congrats.

So I will be visiting you fair city for PAX next week what else is there to see? by Noodl3sin Seattle

PAX is awesome and in all honesty I can totally imagine you'll spend all three days there and never get bored. You're going to have an amazing time and I suggest you don't try to pack too much of the tourist stuff in with PAX weekend. In regards to the day after the convention, what sort of hobbies (besides gaming) do you have? If you're looking to take photos of the city I think the Columbia tower in downtown has awesome views. What kind of food do you like? Seattle's a seafood town so if that sounds good to you I'd recommend you head down to the waterfront for some Ivar's fish and chips and I also suggest you treat yourself to a prawn or salmon sandwich from the Market Grill in Pike Place Market. $10 will get you a great lunch at either place.

It's Trey's college roommate from the dorms. I think he does the voice of the Japanese guy in charge of trying to take over the world in the Chinpokomon episode.

Clever Dunne's and The Redwood are pretty close to El Corazon. At either of those bars all we'd have to do is walk down Denny for about 10 minutes to get to the show after we're done drinking. El Corazon also has a little lounge but doors don't open until 7:30. Dunne's is an Irish pub and Redwood is a dive bar. Care to try either of those? I get off of work at 6 so I can be at either one around 6:45 or 7. If you'd rather meet downtown and walk to the show from that direction we could hang out at Shorty's for a while. Shorty's is full of pinball and punks, awesome arcade bar. Let me know what you think.

I came here to post something similar, awesome. I bought two tickets and at the moment haven't found a friend that can make it. I still want to go though and maybe just sell my other ticket at the door. Anyways, yeah, send me a message back if you're still looking for a drinking buddy at the show.

Anybody know where I can get some good After Effects/Motion Graphics education in Seattle? by kingzilchin Seattle

You can try the Northwest Film Forum on 12th in between Pike and Pine. I think I've seen After Effects classes mentioned in their quarterly calendar.

Honestly, men... when you say you want "a woman with a sense of humor" do you mean SHE's funny, or SHE thinks YOU're funny? by seeplin AskReddit

When I say "a woman with a sense of humor" I mean I'd like her to be able to take a joke. Someone who's always trying to be P.C. isn't really my type.

As a kid I remember going to Disneyland and seeing Darkwing Duck and Launchpad walking around together. I had an autograph book that I gave to them and I was completely thrown off when Darkwing handed it back to me and the autograph read, "Duckwing Duck." I didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

I got off topic with my initial reply. This was never about trying to press charges or trying to sue anybody or trying to figure out who was wrong and who was right. I posted this to try and find the driver as a just in case.

It's pretty hard to find and when you do see it, unless they're voicing the adults, it's a little disappointing. They are doing voices for the kids but it doesn't sound much like them until pitch shifting is used.

The first time my little cousin went to Catholic church he was about 3 years old. About halfway through the service he loudly says, "sit, stand, kneel, sit, stand, kneel...jeez people make up your minds." Everyone who heard him starting busting up.
