This is a crap post, ready to be down-voted, but wanted to get off my chest by anon515in MensRights

So you want a relationship and respect too? Hold out and follow your own wishes until you succeed at them. That success will make your relationships happen, not caving in to social expectations.

My girlfriend has broken up with me 3 times so far, briefly. Each time I let it happen without making any drama and let it be her choice. Each time it was about my withholding of commitment according to social pressure. Each time she came back on my terms (no kids, no marriage, no stay-at-home support) and I didn't beg for it. I am happy with her and happy about having freedom.

Denying sex to girls is a powerful thing to do. It makes them want it more when you do it right. They're not used to hearing "no".

Gonna marry a girl with $300,000 debt. Don't wanna get burned. Advice? by Software_Engineerin MensRights

[–]phlake14222 2 points3 points ago

Well that was a useless comment.

Apparently you expect him to man-up, take on $300k in debt without even thinking about it, and roll the dice for the odds they'll never divorce, because love means being a sucker.

How do you feel about gay rights, MRAs? by secaedelcieloin MensRights

[–]phlake14222 0 points1 point ago

if you called LGBT things boring, you'd be accused of homophobia.

Prominent writer Dan Savage does this all the time.

Yes, he's a gay man, but the point is that there is healthy self-criticism within the LGBT community (unlike within feminism.)

Your friends are not your friends if they did that. If they're so easily turned against you, that's better described as their personal problem, more than political rape hysteria spread by official policies. Best attitude is to say fuck 'em.

But, if she defrauds a father for child support... by phlake14222in MensRights

[–]phlake14222[S] 0 points1 point ago

When a father is defrauded of child support, the woman is not made to pay it back. That's the point. No law protects men from it. This double standard is being exposed by the story of another type of fraud where the woman IS made to pay it back. This double standard is why r/Mensrights exists. hetrophobia and misandry that you find in the political LGBT movement

Examples? It sounds like you're thinking of some separatist lesbians (surely a very minor group) and I doubt it's easy to find any heterophobia that actually matters.

There are some PC identity politics, but those are not always taken for granted. There's also efforts to avoid it and have gay people recognized as just people.

I have a stake in some LGBT activism and have not found anything unwelcome beyond a few minor things to debate about. Gay men are good at regular male bonding.

Creep-shaming against straight men is felt in much the same way that homophobic shaming is felt. It's just more passive and taken for granted, both by the targets and by society, rather than actively preached or pushed with hostile persecution like gay bashing campaigns. But you can see comparable hate in the sickest radical feminists (like Dworkin) who push "all men are rapists" ideology.

Gay people are super and you can find support here.

No idea. Maybe they were trying to say "only progressive sheriff" or only one in his branch of justice administration or whatever.

[–]phlake14222[S] 11 points12 points ago

The charge was misdemeanor "false imprisonment" not "beating your wife." The case was prosecuted against his wife's unwavering opposition and protesting that no crime happened. He did not lose a trial, but plead out to close the case, as often happens when people are liable to be judged guilty before proven innocent. The mayor mounted a huge campaign to prosecute him as if it were a murder, which gives weight to the claim that he was unfairly pressured to plea and this is a political coup.

Ironically, a woman on the prosecutor's team was arrested for domestic violence against her husband, which helps show the hypocrisy of the bullshit propagandized DV laws in this country. It's an exception that proves the rule, that women abuse as often as men but are generally given a free pass for it.

However, if a woman police chief were charged for violence against her husband, and her husband protested that no crime happened, she should not be treated as harshly as a murderer and suspended, either. The point is made within these links, that many other elected officials have faced similar trials and not been suspended in this manner. A police chief is an unelected municipal employee BTW. A sheriff is elected by the voters of a county. You fucked up there, and you sound kind of ignorant and easily destroyed in a debate.

Do not reply if you're going to make more bullshit straw man arguments, troll.

Those feminist men rail against men. They are the ones adopting an obsequious, fawning, disgusting attitude of guilt and shame about their own identities. "I'm sorry for having a penis"

You see what you want to see. Link plz to MRA railing against women. When a rare individual decides to say something like that on their own, they are downvoted.

It's a great point that Obama has acted like a worthless tool about the prohibition of marijuana (and his condescension towards fathers.)

Give him credit for doing something about prison rape, but take away credit for unfairly putting people in prison in the first place.

Make it short, reasonable, and drama free, and give it a chance. You might be surprised to find out what they print. Sometimes it has as much to do with where you're writing from and who you are, as with what you're saying. I'll bet they don't get tons of letters from high school students.

Morgan Spurlock: "Men now are made to feel as insecure as we’ve made women feel for decades" by phlake14222in MensRights

[–]phlake14222[S] 0 points1 point ago

It's been very interesting to see what comments that headline blurb provoked, because it could be taken several ways. I doubt the guy is a rabid feminist and probably just casually tossed out the word "we", as in society, because it's the shortest way to bring up the subject in a short conversation. Whether it's true or not, it's a subject that gets talked about and taken for granted, so why not let him mention it. If he takes it for granted, well, it would be our job to enlighten him. At least he's looking at men's image at all.

Be brave, Factory2. You'll get your imaginary internet enemies. Yes, you'll get them and then they'll pay. Ooh, they will pay!

LOL you just called the entire readership of r/mensrights "cowardly."

Here, I'll give you a little clue for how to find me. I get paid a lot for motivational speaking to teach people how to be winners. I use people like you as examples of losers.

Seriously, go away. Salvage what little dignity you can.

Feeling sorry for yourself and adopting victimhood doesn't excuse your lack of manners and poor choice of friends. Your personal failings here are your own responsibility.

Like I said, you're free to stop talking to me any time. Better yet, next time, don't start. Go away. What you're doing instead is very revealing about your role in the world. You'd rather whine about a petty grudge and devote a piece of your brain to it FOREVER!!! (boo hoo), while trying to make yourself feel better by slinging limp insults and impotent threats on behalf of a childish treehouse club. I already knew this about you though.

Oh noes! A threat on the internets! What are you going to do, type FEMBOT MANGINA at me? Is this like when you threatened to kill yourself? Good thing you weren't effective at that either. No person should take the internet that seriously, and it would be the only thing you ever did that truly made me feel bad.
