shoes for standing all day? by number34in femalefashionadvice

Another idea might be to get hiking boots. Keen is my favorite, and if you get warm weather socks you might do okay. Keen also makes sandals.

You also need to understand your feet. A good shoe store geared towards athletics can help you. For example, I pronate, so my standing shoes have to be geared for that. The right insole is miraculous.

I second the clarks idea. If you live by a Walking Store, they do have work approprite shoes by these brands. Ecco is also awesome (although not always sexy lol). I have Ecco trail sandals and they are pretty great in term of support. They are also durable and hose off.

MtF - 2 months on hormones, what do you think? by ablackpainteddoorin transpassing

That is a great dress!

As a OC, might I suggest a little more volume in your hair? I think it might work with the spirit of the dress, and also help soften your features even more while the hormones work their magic.

Also, you have a really nice waist!

Sometimes in the timelines I think the laser beard removal makes the biggest difference. In f2f life, I think the giveaway is usually body language.

Hrt is impressive, though. I am female, and due to infertility issues I take hormones sometimes. When I go on the hormones my hip/waist ratio changes, and I have to buy different pants. Guys hit on me more, when I am otherwise the same. I can only imagine what an interesting trip it must be for people in the trans community going on the hormones.

That is okay - everyone starts somewhere!

How tall are you? Supermodels are tall. Uma Thurman is tall. Julia Roberts is tall. You can make tall work for you. :-)

As a very general statement, purely for passing, many f2m need to bulk up, while many m2f need to slim down. You are not at all heavy, but I am wondering if losing a little weight and doing some yoga might help you become more confident in this phase.

What is it like to be/raise an adopted child? As a geneticist, I know my partner and I should not have genetic children, but I can't imagine raising a child that isn't genetically mine (Xpost from /r/TwoXChromosomes). by Twinklefingersin Adoption

So my husband and I are having big infertility issues, and we just did a donor egg cycle that failed. I was very concerned going into donor egg that it wouldn't be mine, like many of the same fears you stated. I went through some time, like a few weeks, where I just really mourned the loss of it not being my egg. But then after the embryo transfer, like three days later I was like, "Oh yeah, I forgot to be upset about this - it's fine."

So I am thinking that adoption, if we end up going down that road, will be pretty similar. I'll mourn some stuff and then put some fear down and get excited.

I have to say that I am more scared by the adoption process (which feels overwhelming and hopeless) than I am by the idea of raising a baby I didn't give birth to. I am also not ready to adopt, though.

I am outside of the community, and my first thought was female on the bottom, male on the top; however, as Kelsie mentioned, not the greatest pants. Also, not a belt a girl would wear.

For better jeans, a place that has a wide variety at a fair price is American Eagle. I am wondering how you might look in the Artist cut (cropped or long): http://www.ae.com/web/browse/category.jsp?catId=cat90120

I am also feeling them turn a little. I used to just walk in there and easily find something that worked, but lately it's inconsistent to me.

That was a wonderful, sane article. I am not surprised that so many running for office are against reproductive freedom, but I was surprised so many have singled out IVF. Fuckers.

I think it's way too soon to even begin to think about if any action is right for you. Just be good to each other for now and heal a little. :)
