Honestly, I don't know why someone would want to trade a shiny piece of metal when it would be far more useful to chemical and electronics engineers as a resource. Furthermore, I highly doubt there are enough precious metals in the world for coins and such to be a sustainable currency for millions of people to use.

Perhaps it would be a Bitcoin type thing.

Look, currency simply isn't feasible or cost effective without the underpinning government infrastructure to support it. If you can't punish counterfeiters, then you can't stop them. Hell, without taxation, currency isn't even really all that useful.

I don't know why we would want to do that in the fist place, really. That said, it wouldn't be that hard. Just flood their currency market with counterfeits and crash their trade economy. Without a government to beat down and lock up counterfeiters, they'd be nearly unstoppable.

I sincerely doubt that currency can even exist without a supporting government infrastructure.

Social programs are already poorly funded as it is. Dividing their resources up even further to cater to white people is an insult. Society already caters to white people as it is; white people don't need any more help than we already have. That's why people get angry when White people start crying about how bad they have it, and why they get angry when Whites demand White entertainment television and White scholarships and a White history month.

We White people don't need safe spaces at universities or anything like that, because the whole country is a safe space for us. Are we really fucking talking about this?

I'd be fine with a White Center as long as they call it the Cracker Barrel.~ In all seriousness, though, a White Center would be both a waste of resources and a huge fucking insult to racial minorities. Whites don't need a safe space because there is no such thing as an unsafe space for Whites. I think it's fair to shame the idea, because it is terrible in almost every way imaginable.

At least men have legitimate problems because of their gender (however few they may be). Whites don't have problems because of their race. At all. In any way. Suggesting otherwise is insulting.

You need to keep the opportunity cost in mind.

Every dollar spent on this Men's Center is a dollar that isn't going to be spent helping marginalized minority groups. I realize that men have their own share of problems and acknowledge that some men may need a safe-space to work through their problems (substance abuse, depression, suicidal thoughts, gender policing, trust issues, difficulty coping with emotions, harsh break-ups). As a man, I do deal with these things.

It's possible that a Men's Center will help men feel safe enough to deal with emotions in a more healthy way, but at what cost? I worry that the Men's Center would take away too many resources and that there is a potential for this proposed safe-space to become a resource hog; I see a very serious potential for waste and funding abuse here.
