No, 30 lb dumbbells aren't heavy to you. They're heavy to me, and they're heavy to a lot of weaker people, both women and men. I know you meant no offense by it, but this kind of attitude is one of the reasons some people feel intimidated lifting weights.

Lately, I've ended up flying an average of once a month, and I've had absolutely no problems. I keep a printout of the TSA's policy on knitting stuff with my needles and such just in case, but tapestry needles, knitting needles, and even little nail scissors should be fine.

When you go to type a comment, there should be a little link on the bottom right that says "formatting help." If you want to have a break between lines, you either have to press enter twice:

My understanding is that shampoos generally tend to dry out your hair, which is part of why you condition hair right after. If you're used to shampooing once a day, if you go three or four days, it'll probably get greasy. After a while, it just kind of evens out. I only shampoo my hair if it feels really gross. I do use conditioner every day, which still kind of washes it.

You're right - you can buy seasons on dvd and itunes and whatnot after they're released as full seasons. However, if you want to keep up with the show while it airs and don't have an HBO subscription, there's currently no legal way to do that.

Some bean and pasta salads are good and can be eaten without heating - if you want stuff to be cold, you can get an insulated lunch bag and an ice pack. I found this one too! Twilight sends a bad message to those tween girls, though. I haven't read the books and I've only seen the movies once each, but the idea that a guy can just enter my bedroom when I'm sleeping and there are no consequences for that? Not only are there no consequences, but it's totally 100% okay for him to have done that? And tweens/teen girls are learning this is acceptable behavior? This is the main problem I have with Twilight.

If you can continue on doing your 900-1200 calories a day while getting your workout in and you're not tired/burned out/whatever, then go for it. Generally speaking, you'll start to lose energy in a couple weeks. At that point, you'll probably have to increase your caloric intake. Between 1200-1500 calories will help.

Also - why only the egg whites? The whole egg is tasty!

You could always cook up a batch of beans or lentils and just have them ready in the freezer. Something like a veggie stir-fry with beans would be easy for her to make.
