I am so curious about what you mean exactly. How for example was hiring a top firm to handle the project not professional? Does she not comment on that what's considered "professional" is expensive and ridiculous?

I think she makes that point really clearly - that it's the culture and not some kind of personal conspiracy against one movie - and most readers don't know that, so isn't therefore media literacy? I dont think she calls the press not media literate. I think she makes a clear point about the way the entertainment press works. She's pretty clear about the "not having a hook" part. The point being that "merit" or a good idea isn't enough - what you call getting pissed off or what I'd call being publicly critical came later. Isn't the news news and a discussion newsworthy regardless of how sensational and how many eyeballs it might or might not draw? This write up and your comment is more interesting than what's being reported for example.
