Ok, not to discredit anything you have said here, but my dermatologist told me to disinfect my razor with rubbing alcohol since you essentially are spreading the bacteria around your face when you shave. I'm not sure if he meant the bacteria from the pimples on your face, implying to disinfect every stroke, or if he meant the bacteria on the razor. All I did was keep my razor in a cup of isopropyl alcohol and it seemed to work, although I also used strong acne cream as well.

TL;DR: I'm pretty sure bacteria is the main problem. Disinfect razor w/ rubbing alcohol.
