dude i was just shaking my head reading all your "arguments." first of all don't call yourself an intellectual. you're not. or you're not there yet.

second you don't have a soul. you're made up of atoms. scale up a bit and you're made up of neurons and chemical reactions, and cells and what not. this is the "default" state of things. so is the rest of universe. it follows laws to go from one state to another. miracles don't happen, they can't happen, because if doesn't make sense that given enough time, repetition, scientists, experiments you can't figure out what's going on. it stops being magic, more like a card-trick.

everything else is just something you're not willing to give up because you want to believe it. it gives you a sense of purpose. you want to believe that you have a holy purpose and that some part of you will continue to exist after you die. dude the battle is up inside your head.

when you put a bullet a bullet in to someone's head, they die, because their nerve connections are destroyed and whatnot and they cease to exist. seriously arguing for a soul is about one of the dumbest things you can do. i could go on and on and on about how stupid the notion is, but in the end logic doesn't convince someone to change their views. it takes courage and time.
