so this keeps Votto until he's 40, because he's 28 right now. There has been a lot of confusion with that, but they are paying him $9 million this year and something around $11 million next year, then the 10-year contract starts up

Phillips will WANT to stay in Cincinnati, but the funding will be the only issue. He is going to want to stay and be a part of this team on the rise, so hopefully Jocketty will get this figured out, because although he is losing some of his speed, his leadership and clubhouse personality help make this team what it is.

some people have been talking about Laurent Robinson too, but I don't think the sample size is enough. Sure, he did it in Dallas, which is a big deal, but he needs some more time to show what he has.

they can drop their 31st pick and pay whatever they want to get Wallace, which is convenient considering they have the 27th pick in the first round also and there's no way you get a better receiver in the draft than Wallace
