And please stop conflating "homosexual" with homosexual behavior.

Years ago, my best friend came out to me as gay. I told him that I thought that it was very wrong to be committing those acts. I continued to be his best friend.

So I did not exhibit hate, fear, nor exclusion. I understand that there are those that do.

I have never seen an anti-God campaign that wasn't about hate, fear and exclusion either, but I would not go so far as to intimate that Atheists hate, fear, or exclude me, because most of them don't.

I will sometimes have people come over and strike up a conversation, or walk past with a little smile or thumbs up. Occasionally someone looks a little worried, but most people simply ignore it. When i open carried into a bank for the first time a while back, I saw the guard checking me out (out of the corner of my eye.)

When I went to leave, he opened the door for me, gave me a big smile, and said: "Have a nice day sir, you come back and see us again.)

I think that it is important to just act normal, and everyone will assume that you are normal.

Yes indeed. I have done it lots of times. No one gets scared, and no one really cares.

Edit: I actually do have a license to carry concealed, but it is not required for open carry.

Federal law prohibits carry withing 1000 feet of a school, unless you have a permit issued by your state. AFAIK, this law has only been used as a "sentencing enhancer" for other crimes.

I live in Colorado, and yes, you can wear one on your waist walking down the street.

I have done it several times in stores, public places, and even the bank. No one really cares.

I have had good experiences with Armslist,

I will talk the the other party for a bit on the phone, and if they seem OK, I will let them come by my house. That's how I got my LCP. I traded it even across for a CZ-52.

When I got my Mosin, we met at WalMart.

There are always crooks out there, but I have had good experiences so far. I usually start with email, and then exchange phone numbers if they seem legit. If something just "doesn't seem quite right," it's probably better to leave it alone.

One word of advice. When someone emails you run the email header through a tracer program. If it is not local, someone is definitely trying to scam/dick with you.

Tl;dr Armslist is cool, but be cautious as you would with any dealings with strangers.

I think that you are not holding it tightly enough against your shoulder and leaning into it.

I once handed my Mosin to a 12 year old slip of a girl, and she put 5 rounds through it like a boss. The recoil didn't seem to bother her at all.

I also don't find the recoil to be unpleasant in any way.
