My summer challenge (when I'm not golfing...) by iamafrogin golf

I'm pretty sure reddit auto adds in downvotes to very successful posts, so the post doesn't stay at the top too long. I read that somewhere.

This is about to be me this morning. Can't risk my Pro-V's today :/ However, somehow I play better in wet conditions, almost like the rain prevents the slice.

I wonder if there's some sort of heat map for left handed people. I'd be interested in knowing if it made any cultural connections, in any way.

According to my friend, swinging a club left handed is unnatural for the human body. So, apparently, swinging a club righted gives you more distance over a lefty. Not sure how much truth is in that, and if there was, I think Bubba straightened that shit out.

Apparently it's not uncommon at all for left handed people to play right handed golf. My close friend is an assistant pro, and is like that, and the head pro at his course is also like that. Myself, I play golf lefty, but write with my right hand. I'm all sorts of screwed up.

Giving you a clubup for being lefty. Still til this day, never played with another lefty.

AH! Thanks Bill. I was missing something.

He got a birdie, but he didn't win it with a 25 ft putt, nor during the match. They had a sudden death hole, on 18. Just to recap the video.

Not according to the video? (am I missing something?) He did have a sweet par putt on a hole though

My friends and I picked up golf as adults. I'm positive we have terrible etiquette and knowledge of the rules. What is a good resource to learn how to be a "proper" golfer. by GreatScott_ishin golf

Golf for Dummies, the video. Download/Stream it? It's not really for dummies. It's quite informative, even for people who have played for years. Covers everything about the game you need to know.

We need an FAQ that is broad enough to tell beginners to get fitted, trust yourself to feel what club you like, and to take a few lessons. Also, stop hitting your driver the whole time at the range. Work on your putts.

I just use the tee I keep in my pocket. Whenever I find a ball mark on the green, I fix it. Makes you feel more apart of the game, almost like you're speaking to the green.

Opinion on Dunlop Clubs by porchcrackerin golf

Agreed. Save your money for something else. My buddy does golf lessons for around $40 an hour. It's amazing what one lesson can do for your game. But if you start, be sure to keep going for multiple lessons.

Beginner - Should I rush to replace my 9-iron? by papageorgio120in golf

[–]SPAtreatment 0 points1 point ago

Only if you find a super cheap used one at a used shop. If not. I'd wait until you are better and more confident with your swing, bc you'll want to get fitted for new clubs at that point. I'm lefty too, I know it's hard to find shit, but give it a shot.

"A"? Isn't it "The"? As in the only one ever built. The guy died after the first one was built I thought.
