This conference is pretty good. I'm back in school and loving being able to swim D3, but I'm not nearly as fast as I used to be. It's kinda funny being the 27 year old swimming in college.

How do you feel about Club Dread? As much as I love your other work, this was the only movie I've ever walked out of.

Ahh. Similar, but not quite. Mine has Augustana, Wheaton, Carthage, Rose Hulman, North Central, Elmhurt, Illinois Weslyan, and Milikin.

I can't call it legal advice, but you are probably correct.

Yeah. Last night was Spring Fest. Kinda crazy night for some of the students. It'd be horrible to have two students killed this year. I'm also upset because they loan the bikes, but don't push for bike lines around campus. All the kids just ride the streets and assume they have right of way at intersections. It's a disaster waiting to happen.

Washington and Van Buren. He came off the path by the YMCA and went straight into traffic. It was around 8-9. You know how busy it is then.

In the US, you'd likely get (or plea down) a public intoxication if you were walking it on the sidewalk.

Oops, Just assumed you were the OP from my inbox. But yeah, that race is all in the turns and keeping tempo and technique. Then an all out sprint in the free.

IM is an interesting race. You can't race it like any other race. Also the 400 is much different than the 200. I don't want to preach to you, but I was a sub 21 in the 50 and sub 4 minutes in the 400 out of high school. It is possible, especially with your back ground in fly and back. Like I said before, I'd suggest talking to your coach and doing some race pace training. Also, take every opportunity you can to work your breast.

Especially as a breaststroker. I grew up swimming against Shanteau and was always very happy until breaststroke. That guy!

What year are you? I was tossed into IM early in my high school career, for different reasons. Like you, I dreaded and hated it at first, but eventually, it came around. Have you talked to your coach about how to swim the race and worked on it in practice? If not, I'd suggest that and use it as a way to measure whether it's an event that you can be serious about going forward.

Three different main campuses, 4 or 5 satellites.

Thanks. I was planning to talk to campus safety to find out if he was ok. I'll toss those links their way.

CEO Nick Hanauer: 'If lower taxes for the rich led to job creation, we would be drowning in jobs' by jamiesandersonin politics

Taxes don't matter when roughly 2% of our workforce are accountants. Corporations pay many accountants by how much money they can save for the company. Until this is fixed, keep thinking that the issue is taxing individuals.

Triathlete, cyclist or no? by Qui-Gon-Jinnin bicycling

I do all three sports pretty religiously. Well not running since I stress fractured my foot, but I consider myself all three. Got third in a bike race this weekend. Not bad for someone who isn't a cyclist.

As a coach, I remember having a conversation with a dad about his son, who was looking at making junior nationals as a 14 year old. The dad was complaining that he was unmotivated and seemed like he didn't care. So, I talked to the kid and point blank asked him if he even liked swimming, to which he replied he didn't. I told the dad this and he asked me what we should do about it. Well, I told him that he shouldn't swim if he doesn't want to. The dad was livid, but I told him I couldn't allow someone to swim for me that was being forced to swim. Long story short, he took two years off to play baseball and made two NCAA A cuts this year as a freshman.
