That's what I am suspecting, but it seems to be used certain places online as a defamation of character. http://www.npr.org/2012/05/22/153264728/get-ready-for-the-first-robot-president is the article that uses it. I'm a journalism major and I'd personally never use the term when writing, so I'm not sure why NPR does.

Thanks for the thoughts. You're likely correct, it's just flustering to see the scale go from 127.5 to 121 over the weekend. I actually weigh myself several times per day, my scale does like to play with results by a few pounds now and then. (measurements between 5 minutes) You're definitely right though, the last measurement prior to being sick was right after a workout with a shake.

A few things for you to consider:

Feelings Fade Over Time. Sometimes feelings fade slowly and sometimes quickly, but they do fade unless restimulated.
Life Is a Series of Moments. No one feels the same way all the time.

You Cannot Directly Control Your Feelings. When you're depressed, can you just snap out of it? Can you will yourself to fall in or out of love?
You Are Not Responsible for Your Feelings. You cannot take responsibility for that which you cannot control -- not even if you feel hatred or lust.
You are responsible for what you do with your feelings -- how you respond to them -- but not for what you feel.

In the words of Takahisa Kora, M.D.: "Do not resist or rebel against emotions, or to try to get around them by devising all sorts of tricks. Instead, accept them directly, as they are."

This is moderately true, but it really depends on what area of ASU you're looking at. Demographics play a huge role, but there is a decent amount of them out here.
