How long does it take to move mailboxes from Exchange 2003 to 2010? by Angry-birdsin sysadmin

I've done several 30-60 mailbox moves with an average mailbox size of 6-8GB and we can easily complete them in a weekend. Starting Friday at 6:00PM and working until late Sunday night. Going from 15K to 15K with a gigabit backbone.

Philippians 1:27 - Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;

It's not an act to be "Christ-like" but rather, a recognition of the indwelling Christ in you the hope of Glory which we allow to live through us. Once we come to understand who we are as a new man in Christ and that God isn't making us who we need to be but rather has crucified our flesh with Christ and made us new, along with all things, we can apply the above verse in our life.

Titus 1:16 They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.

Good works only come from Christ in you. Without Christ in you, you can do nothing good. As Paul said in Romans 7, that is in my flesh lieth no good thing. The moment of your salvation by grace through faith in Christ's blood for your sins and his resurrection for your justification God declares you righteous and now wants you to grow up in the new man unto good works. These good works are not mandatory for salvation or justification but rather they should be the natural response to God's grace.

I'll leave you all with a few verses:

Ephesians 2:8-10 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Ephesians 4:14-16 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

Things are definitely done differently in SBS even from the simplest of tasks like new user creation. Either way, my experience has been consistently negative with SBS. The dependencies are insane and if one thing "breaks" prepare for a storm.

I wouldn't touch SBS with a ten foot pole. Many sysadmins of larger networks with no experience with SBS seem to recommend it quite frequently. I know there are some perceived benefits but I specialize in SMB and the most problematic servers we have are SBS.

Like what? I honestly haven't found anything so long as you use Outlook 2010 and the latest Google Apps Outlook Sync. Obviously Google wants you to use the web interface but their Outlook Sync is on par with Exchange. I've migrated hundreds of customers to Google Apps and have never had anyone go back. Any complaint is usually resolved by training as some processes can be a bit different with GApps. The cost savings moving to Google Apps is huge. As an MSP, as much as managing Exchange is good for billables, the upkeep is tedious.

Seriously. If you want to know Christ's stance on homosexuality read his word. It's clear he did not stop "speaking" after he ascended. For the love of Christ constaineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead. II Cor. 5:14

Dead in trespasses and sins and homosexuality is no different. (Eph. 2:1-5) Romans 1 is clear that men on men and women on women is in fact vile. God does not send people to hell on the basis of how they have sex but in rejection of the gift of God through Jesus Christ. For the love of righteousness do not do away with Christ's word men on men and women on women is vile and error.

Gal 2:6 But of these who seemed to be somewhat, (whatsoever they were, it maketh no matter to me: God accepteth no man's person:) for they who seemed to be somewhat in conference added nothing to me: Gal 2:7 But contrariwise, when they saw that the gospel of the uncircumcision was committed unto me, as the gospel of the circumcision was unto Peter; Gal 2:8 (For he that wrought effectually in Peter to the apostleship of the circumcision, the same was mighty in me toward the Gentiles:) Gal 2:9 And when James, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace that was given unto me, they gave to me and Barnabas the right hands of fellowship; that we should go unto the heathen, and they unto the circumcision.

Not a false distinction...

The gospel of the kingdom is not that Christ died for your sins.

Joh 20:9 For as yet they knew not the scripture, that he must rise again from the dead.

Luk 18:31 Then he took unto him the twelve, and said unto them, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and all things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of man shall be accomplished. Luk 18:32 For he shall be delivered unto the Gentiles, and shall be mocked, and spitefully entreated, and spitted on: Luk 18:33 And they shall scourge him, and put him to death: and the third day he shall rise again. Luk 18:34 And they understood none of these things: and this saying was hid from them, neither knew they the things which were spoken.

Luk 24:6 He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee, Luk 24:7 Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again. Luk 24:8 And they remembered his words, Luk 24:9 And returned from the sepulchre, and told all these things unto the eleven, and to all the rest. Luk 24:10 It was Mary Magdalene, and Joanna, and Mary the mother of James, and other women that were with them, which told these things unto the apostles. Luk 24:11 And their words seemed to them as idle tales, and they believed them not.

The central tenant of salvation today is the death, burial and resurrection of Christ for your sins.

Something that the 12 did not understand is Luke 24 and was not being preached until Paul. Just read Acts 1-8 and tell me what the message is...Christ died for your sins, he's forgiven you all your trespasses?

Act 3:18 But those things, which God before had shewed by the mouth of all his prophets, that Christ should suffer, he hath so fulfilled. Act 3:19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord; Act 3:20 And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you: Act 3:21 Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.

What you need to see is that the Prophets did not prophecy of the Apostle Paul nor the dispensation of the grace of God. These are mysteries.

I hope this helps.

Yes, but let's remember the context of Matthew 28. A command to the 11.

The 11 that also were instructed by Christ himself in the end of Luke 24:46-49 and Acts 1:4-8 to begin Jerusalem.

Luk 24:47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. Luk 24:48 And ye are witnesses of these things. Luk 24:49 And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.

Act 1:4 And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me.

Yes, the salvation was to come through the Jews for it was through them that all the nations of the earth would be blessed. (Acts 3:25-26)

You're right, I don't read my Bible...I study my Bible.

This gospel of the kingdom was to be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. (Matthew 24:14) This gospel of the kingdom however, is not that Christ died for your sins, but rather the central crux of this gospel is to believe that Jesus is the Christ the son of God. (Matthew 4:17, John 20:31).

Joh 20:31 But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.

The death, burial and resurrection of Christ is not found in John 3:16. It is only through Paul that you understand that Christ was delivered for your offences and raised again for your justification (Rom. 4:25).

The books of Matthew - John and the first 9 chapters of the book of Acts are God dealing with his nation Israel. The revelation of the mystery among the Gentiles, that is Christ in you the hope of glory was not revealed in those books.

Today, we preach Jesus Christ according to the revelation of the mystery. (Romans 16:25)

What you are missing is the stumble and setting aside of the nation of Israel Acts 13:46-49.

Act 13:46 Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles. Act 13:47 For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth. Act 13:48 And when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord: and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed. Act 13:49 And the word of the Lord was published throughout all the region.

As Paul says it in Romans 11:25 - For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.

As you read through Matthew - John you can see an account of God manifesting in the flesh to his people in accordance with the prophecy. For the truth of God to remember his holy covenant that he made with the fathers. Luke 1:70-80

As the title of this article reads, pick up the book and read again, I encourage everyone to read it again but listen to Miles Coverdale... "It shall greatly help ye to understand the Scriptures if thou mark not only what is spoken or written, but of whom and to whom, with what words, at what time, where, to what intent, with what circumstances, considering what goeth before and what followeth after. ”
