Jesus Christ, why aren't people questioning the quality of their education.

Last summer the GOP held our economy hostage to get a debt deal that they refuse to honor. Now they're threatening to do the same thing right as our recovery becomes shaky. When does this treachery get called out? by wang-bangerin politics

Texas oil for Kansas grain.

It's such things are not the property of their resepective States, I would think people producing oil in Texas would sell it the same way they have been -- advertising. Transporting that oil via rail, truck, pipeline, and life will go on. Same thing for Kansas famers you'll still have Kellogs buying grain for cereal, along with anyone else that wants to compete for that dollar.

Big Government has been handing the oil companies and agriculture, Big subsides from my pocket, I'd rather companies earn via their labor, and Government stop vote buying with people's money they steal. Government should stick to the duties that are strictly enumerated to them, and stop expanding their power based of vague notions and vague interpretations to their own legitimate power.

Hardly, a person still has property, regardless if their is a State involved in a hypothetical anyway. I for one will always cherish my being, my actions and thoughts just for a quick example. What makes me is, my ability, is the best property I own. Since, I own me, with this bit of a priori, that is self-evident, property exists of absent of any Government.

Swans landed outside of the hospital window to the room where Obama was being birthed and lowered their heads. Also not missing was a bald eagle; that circled above letting, out the sounds of joy and triumph.

At least that's what my nephew told me he learned in school that day in history class.

I've thought about using Alibaba a few times, however, it seems like it's more or less not for drop shipping, rather, becoming one.. And if you have the space to warehouse space for those items, it's a good deal.. However, doesn't seem to be profitable for a website, or, is it? As it appears it's best you buy before you sell.

Let’s just say it: The Republicans are the problem. by digitalin politics

[–]FourFingeredMartian 1 point2 points ago

It only takes three percent in their system for a party to get seats -- Golden Dawn(Chrysi Avgi) (Neo-Nazi political organization that uses images of Hitler, and Gerbals) got 7%. If elections are not held again, they will be seated, Neo-Nazi's will be in their parliament & they will do what worked in Germany in the 1900s under the same system.

Edit: Chrysi Avgi will have 21 seats in the parliament

I would like to see that happen too, however, I would also expect to see it model the different era that is modern life; you see this all the time in TV series today: two parents working jobs to support their families, they have a few emotional issues that may get touched on in some way(or some side character that fills that roll), meh art imitating life. I think if the revamp of the Flintstones did something along those lines something would be lost all around: in the way viewers would be able to relate, and keeping true to the wholesomeness of the cartoon, at least that look into the way art imitated life back then. Not, that I would mind Pebbles being a young adult and experimenting with gang bangs and drugs and updating the hilarity, but, none the less a quality of what I liked about that should, would be lost...

It would be a noble effort that could have the best intentions, but, easily lose appeal due to modern malaise of updated subjects, topics and life.

liquidity for markets we pay twice. Once with economic ruin and a second time insuring account holder losses via the FDIC.

Look we don't risk anything by letting companies go under, that's the nature of the market.. If you're doing something that people do not like, including other traders, business, entities, people that utilize your products -- the market will correct you on your actions.

If the FDIC is a bad idea, then guess what: the market will reward banks that insure their depositors assets by other means. Monopolies are terrible for the market, and having a virtual one propped up by nothing more than Government is not any better.

It will not be end of life, it might be hard -- as it should be. However, from this short burst of pain, like studying all week for a test, or countless hours testing software -- the rewards will be all that much more & more than worth any slight discomfort..

If there is a recession over this best for such an occurence to happen. There will be other companies, more responsible ones to fill the place of a JP Morgan. Having Government or someone else helping deal with their reckless behavior will not help us out of the situation we are in.

I think psychopaths show abnormalities, which is what this study suggests.. But, having not looked at the research methods, ie double-blind test, it's hard to make sound conclusions.. Yet, the suggestion is there, perhaps, that psychopaths have different physical brains that make them unique.

If a government hypothetically went full Libertarian how would it sell off or privatize assets such as Utility companies? by SepmoNin Libertarian

[–]FourFingeredMartian 0 points1 point ago

I answered this question, this way a few months back: Which is where proper bidding time lines come into play and a set bidding order. There would be little gain in such a strategy, if you're spending your resources on keeping people off your roads you're also keeping away any profit from those roads. The pipelines of major interstate would be of the most value to a large corporation or even a large group of people or one wealthy individual.

The ability to expand or make new roads for competition becomes even greater strategy for better profits. Your argument is flawed when it comes to reality. Sure, you could buy the roads around my home, and you could set it so high that I could not travel on those roads. Others though would be less likely to travel on those roads too, as it makes no difference if they can reach my home.

We could even state that such auctioning off of neighborhood roads is unnecessary as a homesteading has already occurred by the residents of that area. Simple appropriation of such roads defaults to the homeowners because of a 9/10ths rule, everyone in the community at sometime paid something for the road maintenance & as such owns a fraction of 1% percent of the public property. Breaking down ownership to a block, more or less, provides probably the best way to treat high residential areas ownership. The act of dividing up public property to private owners is a tough proposition, yet it something that will come about in a total collapse and preparedness of handling of such matters should be of importance of any community & plans should be drawn up based on a 9/10ts rule. Simple appropriation to a defunct body doesn't get the job done. Further, for the roads that have not a homeowner, rather a homesteader on that land, those roads should be put up for auction if that land surrounding that road is not homesteaded; as such a land owner has not even homesteaded that property that he owns, can't very well state that he homesteaded that road. He can however, utilize that unused property as a competing road to that road that gets bought up.

However, if you think you can go around and bully such people than, you should also hope that being such an asshole doesn't come back and bite you in the ass as a I collude with your neighbors, that would know you're a dick and probably hate you anyway, from shutting off water(or gas) that extends to your home that crosses over their property.

To come back to the point, such tactics do not give you any economical advantages & only dampens your standings with the rest of the community.

tl;dr Homesteading is also a viable means to appropriate public road ways. . Actually, that is exactly how it should probably be divided up now that I gave it some thought. If there is no homesteader in the vicinity, than the road should be auctioned.

While everyone was paying attention to Obama's convenient gay marriage "evolution" I was more worried about this... by MisterPankyin Conservative

[–]FourFingeredMartian 0 points1 point ago

This has more to do with the Federal Reserve system, which is a private bank, that sets US monetary policy: sets interest rates, inflates money supply via the printing press. This decision was made by them, and as it is the Federal Reserve Act makes the Federal Reserve accountable to no one, not even the President or Congress.
