aesu gives a simple explanation of the fundamental forces that drive economies. by Halo6819in DepthHub

Furthermore to say that monetary supply isn't a significant factor in economic modeling means that this child has had no experience within this field.

This isn't depth hub material.

It seems like photographers have their work stolen a lot. This blogger had his entire article stolen by a newspaper - and decided to do something about it. The video at the bottom is awesome. by chakalakaspin photography

Would have been a worthwhile battle if a large-city newspaper reprinted. This just seems petty. I feel bad for the old guy, it was tough to watch him swallow his pride.

From the age of 12 to 17 I spent a total of 3 years locked up in juvenile facilities. I've been to juvenile detention, boot camp, rehab and the loony bin. AMA by MissAwesome89in AMA

I mean in general. Seems like you've had a lifetime of people telling you there's something wrong with you.

Advice on the fit and possible tailoring of this outfit by Matrick64in malefashionadvice

[–]Dr_Strangelover -2 points-1 points ago

This isn't bravo, and shit like this is preventing the kid from going out with confidence because he thinks there are people out there willing to write 4 paragraphs on what's wrong with his outfit.

I want an apology for having stumbled onto this horseshit.

This morning a bee truck lost 3 crates in front of my work. Hundreds of thousands of bees keep attacking anyone who steps outside. I fear for my life. by DreaDlxin pics

[–]Dr_Strangelover 1 point2 points ago

Has anyone given you any information about how long those bees will be localized in that area or the procedure used to remove them?

I assume the city will just gas your neighborhood.

Found and followed my own stolen car, thieves got busted, what should I expect from here as far as prosecution? by Nicodemus81in AskReddit

[–]Dr_Strangelover 2 points3 points ago

What should you expect?

-A couple days to a few weeks of court.

No... there's a high probability this will be plead out. Even if it isn't, it's not a complex trial issue requiring more than a day or two. Unless the prosecutor needs your testimonial evidence (and he probably doesn't considering the nature of their apprehension).

What could happen to the kids?

-Jail time

Juvenile hall if the age estimates are correct. Depends how the prosecutor wants to try him. Prosecutor can petition to have him tried as an adult, and that improves his plea bargain positioning (more likely to get the kind of plea he wants). The prosecutor will probably use this to secure a guilty plea and testimony against the passenger, because the truth is... If the kid is actually on probation he'll have to serve out the full time of his previous sentence, which means he is in Juvy until his 18th birthday at minimum. Sentencing decisions vary depending on crowding issues, so he may not serve a day over 18. Prosecutor knows this, kid doesn't...

What will you be expected to do?

-Show evidence of what is stolen, show up to court, make your case.

None of this. At this point, you probably won't have to do anything. The case will be plead out.

The Secret Meeting that Changed Rap Music and Destroyed a Generation by abandonallhopein conspiracy

[–]Dr_Strangelover 5 points6 points ago

Patently ridiculous fiction. Pop culture has always made money by appealing to lowest common denominators. Private Prisons proliferated in the early 1990s in response to a sharp increase in violent crimes, and federal/state budgetary shortfalls. Rich citizens saw an opportunity to make money when the fed started outsourcing prison.
