the prey is visible for only a brief moment...but it seems to have the distinct thoracic gap of the click beetle. the spider was making no sound at all..the beetle was the culprit.

i find that the older cops are usually the better ones...based on my NUMEROUS obnoxious encounters with them while legally open-carrying.

more often than not....yes. see...i don't have cop friends. i have friends who quit 'da force' in disgust and horror because of the culture of corruption. these friends were trained soldiers and marines who fought honorably for their countries...but were so sickened by what they saw in the police that they still can't talk about it. so...yes. every bloodied protester or citizen beaten for 'contempt of cop' is proof of that.
