No, I took issue with you saying that you get charged $10 for 4G service. Which you don't. You get charged that for owning a smart phone with a data plan. That was my whole point. You can be mad if you want though, it's cool brah.

Then it's probably because the palm pre was, strangely enough, not in the list of what Sprint considers a modern smartphone to be. It was in the same category as the aforementioned basic LG slider phone. The Evo line of phones are a lot more powerful than old Palm phones.

Because she purchased that palm pre before the premium data fee was implemented. Signing a new contract after the implementation of the fee would naturally mean that the new policy would apply to her.

Actually, the premium data fee has nothing specifically to do with 4G. You would not have to pay that if you had any phone that was not a smart phone. It's the fee that they charge because smart phones are capable of pulling down a lot more data than your simple LG slider phone. You signed your first contact before that fee was implemented in January 2011.

Actually, that extra $10 is not for 4G. You pay that $10 with any smartphone, including the iPhone, which is 3G only. It's the premium data fee. Source: I sell Sprint phones.

I work for Sprint and frequently drop my iPhone (w/case) onto the counter from a foot or two above it in order to demonstrate how effective a case can be. Not an Otterbox, but I don't worry about it breaking. Maybe I should.
