Does anyone else think that the US covertly sank the South Korean warship? This attack eased calls on them to shutter their Okinawa military base very, very conveniently. (self.conspiracy)

No.
This kind of thing probably had more to do with it.

OK maybe you're right, but you are just guessing too.

Did the NK government deny involvement in sinking the SK warship? NK has an intelligence agency, which would be keen to release news that the US had indeed sunk the SK ship and pinned it on them.
How would DPRK benefit by keeping quiet about a false flag operation like that?

No, the reason Japan caved on Okinawa (upsetting former supporters of the new gov't) is that Obama asked Yukio Hatoyama, "How 'bout them Toyotas, homie? Are you ready for the same with Nissan and Honda, or are you going to 'come to your senses'?"

Textbook gotcha politics. It really pissed Obama off that the Cash for Clunkers program ended up being a Cash for Toyota deal.
Especially since the U.S. government is in the car manufacturing business. Aveo = Yugo?

Man, look at the downvotes.
Don't you know logical reasoning doesn't fly around here?

Yes. The answer to any question on this subreddit pertaining to anything nefarious is always yes.

Yes, the US government benefited, therefore they must have been involved.

You assume that North Koreans are rational people that would not provoke South Korea in such a way and possibly start another war. Fact is, NK people are so brainwashed (and hungry!) that they're not rational. Most of them you'd consider "insane" or "crazy" if you met them and talked to them.
