The RandomKindness Mixtape ~by DJ Gino Brown aka Kon-chezz

For those in dire need that require emergency aid and/or serious help we recommend visiting /r/Assistance, /r/Loans or /r/Food_Pantry.

How to make a Post (full details):

1. Place one of [OFFER], [REQUEST], [CHARITY] or [RK] tags in your title.

[RK Thanks] is standard way to thanks.

2. Add the location you are willing to send to or requesting from

  • Country wide = [US], [UK], [CA]
  • City / State = [US, FL], [UK, London], [CA, Toronto]
  • Global / World Wide = [WW]
  • Virtual / Online = [WWW]

3. State the item and any conditions you might have

4. Once you've made a post request your flair here - more info. Remember [REQUEST] and [RECEIVED] flair is mandatory!

5. Once you have learnt above click here to post

General Guidelines:

  • For those offering please Browse the Reddit Givers List to see who has received gifts.

  • Requests for items not money. RandomKindness isn't really about money requests, requests for items, especially used items are more likely to be answered.

  • No Flaming, insults, derogatory comments and otherwise rude behavior. If you see a post here that is inflammatory please use report function to notify a mod.

  • Stay safe: do not give away personal information in posts, only give your address in PM once you are sure you want to send / receive anything.

  • Upvote good posts. More upvotes will mean encouragement to kind people and more visibility to reddit outside RK

  • Check to see if the item you are offering has already been requested and vice versa. Its helpful to not clutter up the posts by seeing the same thing posted over and over.

  • Keep your post updated. Make sure you update the post so others know if your request was fulfilled or the offer was given away.

  • Remember to thank the giver. They love to know that an item was received and as a general matter of kindess, it is always nice to thank the person who sent you something. If compelled you could always make a pictograph about it and send it to /r/pics and share the story.

  • If the person you want to do something nice for turns out to be a dick, well that sucks but it doesn't negate your nice act. Please be sure to let the mods know so that we are aware.

  • Always pay it forward! Continue the cycle of kindness by passing on the kindness offered to you in anyway you can.

What a generous offer! I have two sons, ages 9 & 4. We didn't have the resources to give the kids a lot this year because of cutbacks at work, high utility bills, and an unexpected transmission rebuild. My oldest just celebrated his birthday and we were able to get him a couple small things to open, and his Grandma bought him Star Wars for his Xbox. We had a really tough week because my otherwise healthy "Aunt" (my Mom's best friend) suffered a catastrophic heart attack that left her with severe brain damage. She passed away on Thursday. We've had a rough go at it. My oldest loves video games, and has wanted a PSP for a long time now. He would be one happy boy :). I'll send you a PM with some pictures and links for proof. Thanks for your consideration, you are a very kind person :).

I look forward to seeing the pm! Sorry to hear about your aunt. I hope your family is doing well.

My 7 year old brother's PSP broke a couple years ago. He's still sad that he can't play his DBZ game that he's obsessed with. He even asks me to put on videos of it on the computer so he can "pretend he's playing". I know there may be more deserving kids out there but I just figured I'd throw it out there :] Whatever you do, You'll get A LOT of Karma for it. And I mean both Reddit Karma, but more importantly, Spiritual Karma.

I'm putting this in for a child I know who used to have a PSP (the original) that was stolen from him, shortly after he got it, but right after he fell in love with it. He treated that thing like it was solid gold. He saved up his pocket money to but a tough case, only played it sitting on a couch or in a chair, just adored the thing. Now let me back up just a tad. His parents are divorced, and he used to live with his mother. Now, his mother is crazy. Like, legitimate, takes 8 pills, talks to a therapist kinda crazy. She was also a pathological liar, and believed most other people to be too, since to her it was just normal. So one day, he comes home with a bit of dirt on his nose, because he'd been out monkeying around on a trail with some friends. Now, his mother becomes utterly convinced that that was ash, not dirt. She is further convinced that he has been out smoking cigarettes, because of this "ash", despite him being 12 at the time. So, she took every item or possession she had ever given him as a gift. I'm talking everything. His PSP, all his games for it, everything, even his legos. This was the straw that broke the camel's back, and he finally ended up, through a lengthy and painful court battle, living up with his dad again. Now, his dad, while not crazy, is also not by any stretch of the imagination, and normally ends up mooching off of friends or relatives for a place to stay with his kid. This kid didn't get a real christmas or birthday (it was a few months before christmas) and I think he would really love to get something like this, since he's told me several times about how awesome his used to be before his mother went off on him.

A big thanks to everyone who sent me messages regarding this giveaway. Seeing as the posts have slowed down I decided to end this thread earlier than expected. I have chosen a child who will receive this bundle. I wish I had more of them to give away, but unfortunately I don't. I've read some really tear jerking messages from many of you, and it was a really tough decision to make. I will not reveal who I have chosen just to keep this somewhat private. I wish all of you an enjoyable rest of the year!
