I don't think internet "culture" has seeped into my life but I find that I'm a lot more knowledgeable than most people about a wide variety of subjects. Most people I hang out with don't spend as much time on the internet as I do so when they "discover" things I already know all about it and they're surprised. I've also got a wide and self-inspired opinion about a lot of political issues and being 19 I don't find a lot of people who think about things like that all too much.
I don't ever use memes in person (but I have said "so brave" before sarcastically.. is that really a meme or just /r/circlejerk leakage?)

It hasn't. I have not let any of these meme bullshit affect me. In my Economics class there is a wall where you can put whatever you want and somebody from another class put the "Fuck Yeah" and "Jackie Chan" meme faces and I clearly recognize them. I've heard people ask what they are and I refuse to answer them because I don't want to sound geeky and weird because I'm pretty sure that most people I know don't go to these type of websites with inside jokes.

I used to quote the internet more. I'd say this was pre-2007. When Rick Rolling wasn't quite mainstream and the O RLY owl was a common face/image to use in expressing one's self.

I guess I'm an "internet hipster" like that. Now that new memes are being commonly quoted offline I've somewhat retreated from being "that guy who quotes internet memes". It stopped being cool when everyone started to do it. I lost my culture in a sense. Of course, I should have seen it coming, but I either didn't or I liked the idea of people laughing at me saying "O RLY?". Depending on who you ask 4Chan was already too popular or it was still an underground paradise. If you wanted a discussion place your choice was, realistically, 4Chan or SomethingAwful... I'm not sure any of my friends know about SomethingAwful except for one guy who's been on the internet as long as I have. You'll still hear him whine about the death of /b/ but I think he still hangs out on the other boards there. I personally used to just chill out on random message boards prior to reddit.
