What is /r/giftgold?
It is a reddit community where people can gift or request Gold Memberships. It was conceived of, created, and run by redditors looking to support the site. It is not officially affiliated with the reddit gold program, or the reddit admins.

Why should I give a fellow Redditor a Gold Membership?
- It helps Reddit deliver more features to the whole community.
- You can make an offer to exchange a gold membership for something else
- You get a cool donation tag next to your name in this community and bragging rights!
- You can feel good doing a good deed for a Redditor who either couldn't afford it, has done something exceptional for Reddit, or merely requested. After all, Reddit is all about karma.
What can I do to offer/request a gold membership?

1. Visit http://www.reddit.com/help/gold
2. Click "Buy Now" or "Subscribe"
3. Fill in the payment information
4. After you receive an e-mail from Reddit with your subscription code, send a private message to the requester with that code. The email also has a link that will automatically apply the code. DO NOT click on the link. Once the requester enters the code or clicks the link, Reddit Gold will be applied to their account.
How much does it cost?
It costs only $3.99 for 1 month and $29.99 for a full year.
Is there another way I can get Reddit Gold for free?
You can send a funny postcard to Reddit and they will grant you one month of membership for Reddit Gold. If you do, please post what you sent! However, it is preferable to buy a Reddit Gold membership to support Reddit become a better website.

What are the rules of the community?
1. When starting a thread please put [Request] in the submission title.
2. If you make an offer in a submission thread, please put [Offer] in the title.
3. Message the mods if you have received a Gold Membership and we will add a checkmark next to your thread.
4. Message the mods if you have gifted a Reddit Gold membership, and we will gladly add a Donation tag next to your name.

- Donor - Give 1 subscription
- Benefactor - Give 2 subscriptions (in Brown)
- Philanthropist - Give 3 or more subscriptions (in Gold)
