Who manages the Admin reddit?

The Admin moderators manage the Admin Reddit and not the Reddit Admins. Official statements from Reddit.com can be found on the Reddit Blog. This reddit showcases user-submitted posts made by Reddit Administrators in addition to official statements.

What are the rules for the Admin reddit?

1. Any personal complaints or grievances with the Reddit Admins should be submitted through the feedback system and will not be tolerated in the Admin reddit.

2. If you want to respond to a post made by a Reddit Admin, please do so in the original thread. Comments should be made in the Admin reddit about the topic at hand.

3. Make sure you only post links or comments from the Reddit Admins.

What topics should I post about?

1. Help Notable by posting a comment or link posted by a Reddit Admin that is about the development of Reddit, a notable clarification, or an important related topic.

2. You can post other Reddit Admin links like of a Reddit community event like of Jedberg's Reddit-themed wedding, an IAMA by a Reddit Admin, or an interview conducted by a Reddit admin.

3. You can post culturally significant Reddit Admin links that are important to understand an inside joke like from one of raldi's really funny comments about working at Reddit or a link from a comment that would explain a Reddit logo.

Is there a fast way you can post?

Yes!

1. Install the Reddit Admin Button greasemonkey script. This script adds a button next to "report" labeled "admin" that will make it easier to submit a comment or link to the Admin subreddit from a Reddit Admin's profile page.

7. If you would like to add Reddit Admin avatars to the front of your post, if the post has significant chatter from them in there, send a message to the moderators and tell them whose avatars to include.

Why don't I see my post?

It could be waiting in the mod queue for approval or it could have been marked as spam by Reddit's automated spam filter. If so, please send a message to the moderators.

Why are the Reddit Alumni included?

They still have the root password, continue to rarely make administrative posts, and can often be seen at the Reddit office.

What about the rest of the Reddit staff?

You will less likely be able to see official posts from them, but it can still happen. Known accounts:

1. redditads - redditads is the account Reddit staff use to manage ads run in the sponsored headline. This is their way to let users know that the ad is from a third party, as opposed to a self-serve posted by a user.

Who is Notable?

Notable is a group contributor to the Admin reddit. This account will post links or self posts to this Reddit to keep you up to date on the development of Reddit, notable clarifications, and important links posted by the Reddit Admins. This user will make it easy for you to get the latest information so you do not have to go searching for it. Notable will also post a link comment in other already submitted links to /r/admin that have information specifically about Reddit.com. Any links to other kinds of comments or discussion in the Admin Reddit will not be posted by Notable.

Can I post topics that Notable might post?

Of course! Notable acts basically as a filter to filter out other forms of content from the Admin reddit. People can see those posts if they view Notable's user page or by subscribing to Notable's RSS feed. Posting the same kind of content will not hinder Notable. Notable will simply make a comment in a [Post], [Blog], or [Comments] post submitted by another user of the information so people that follow Notable will still see that information. The more people that post, the faster we can get information out there! :)

Why are there Reddit aliens in front of Notable's posts?

In a notable post that has a significant amount of activity by Reddit Admins, those admins doing most of the commenting will be shown in front of Notable's post to tell you that there is a lot of chatter from Reddit Admins inside. The Reddit Alien avatars are the avatars of the Reddit Admins. You can find their identities in the Reddit FAQ. Blog posts are excluded because they are always expected to have a lot of admin chatter in them.
